Some Republicans are pushing back against President Donald Trump after he attributed Hollywood director and progressive activist Rob Reiner’s death as the likely result of the “anger he caused others” through “TRUMP DERANGEMENT SYNDROME.”
President Donald Trump on Monday mocked Rob Reiner, the slain actor and movie director who was also a vocal Democratic activist, suggesting he was killed for his anti-Trump views despite police not outlining a motive for the apparent homicide.
Hours after Reiner, 78, and his wife, Michele Reiner, 68, were murdered at their Los Angeles home, Trump took to Truth Social to slam the slain director as a “struggling” man with “obvious paranoia” who may have brought his death upon himself.
Instead, Trump’s TruthSocial post was a master class in being a jerk, especially the part where he claimed Reiner’s death was “reportedly due to the anger he caused others through his massive, unyielding, and incurable affliction with a mind crippling disease known as TRUMP DERANGEMENT SYNDROME, sometimes referred to as TDS.”
